Day 15: Don’t forget the toilet!

Half way through the series!

The last room on the list to clean is the bathrooms. These need an extra deep cleaning as this is where Buyers really look for filth!

As with the kitchen, scrub the counters, wipe down the cabinets, and clean the sinks. I would also clean out my drawer and cabinets and clean up any spills and scuffs because buyers will likely look inside. Magic erasers can be really useful for light cabinetry.

You also want to pay close attention to bathtubs, showers and toilets. These need to be sparkling! Soap scum and rings are not acceptable.

Don’t forget to clean the mirrors and light fixtures too. This goes for the whole house- if you have mirrors, clean them! You should also dust any artwork on the walls and any accessories that will be staying in the room after staging (we’ll get to staging before too long). if you think of anything else you could clean, clean it!
