Last night my dreams were filled with decorating fantasies and financing nightmares. This relocation has officially crept into every area of my life now! Our house in Scottsdale is officially on the market again as of this morning. I got the text and had to get my rear in gear. I’ve cleaned everything except the tile floors. It is still on the list, I just dread doing it for some reason and keep putting it off!
Last night Jason needed to go to Staples for office supplies. While we were there, I spotted a super cute black and white striped notebook. I was smitten even though I didn’t really need a notebook. It was the only one like it so I was not sure how much it would cost. I carried it around the entire store while Jason shopped and contemplating whether I should buy it. As we walked up to the register, I said to Jason that if it cost over $8, I will not get it. I stepped up and asked the man at the register and asked if he could tell me how much it cost. Much to my delight, he said it only cost 54 CENTS!!! Shut up! Who doesn’t love that moment of shock to discover the item you are crushing over is on clearance unbeknownst to you!! I know it is silly, but that little notebook deal made my night! It’s the little things around here.
I had another super duper experience yesterday that I must share. I went to my local Ace Hardware to look at paints. I asked if there was a fan deck that I could use/have. They asked if I was a designer. I said not technically, but I blog alot about design and my design projects. And guess what? The nice paint guy gave me one of all 3 Benjamin Moore fan decks!!! This is so awesome. I will definitely be using all Benjamin Moore paints in the future! I sat down with them yesterday and went through EVERY SINGLE PAINT chip. I flagged my favorites….er my favorites of the day. I am so thrilled to have all these beautiful colors to inspire me!
Wanna see the photos from our listing?? I’m going to miss this house more than I realized! Especially our backyard. Living here is like being on vacation every single day.
